Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under the Law – Staffing National Remote Voter Hotline (Volunteer from Home) – AUGUST SHIFTS POSTED

The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and its coalition partners seek legal volunteers to remotely staff Election Protection’s English language national voter hotline (1-866-OUR-VOTE). The national, nonpartisan Election Protection coalition works year-round to ensure that all voters have an equal opportunity to vote and have that vote count.

The hotline is answered by remote volunteers daily from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Eastern, with additional shifts on Election Day.  The hotline provides assistance to voters with problems and guides them throughout the voting process.  Volunteers must complete an on-demand training (around 2 hours).  Support is provided to the volunteers via a captain during their shift and “user guides” and substantive information on voting.   The Lawyers’ Committee is the client.  Volunteers sign up directly using the link provided below. How:Online platform; computer with internet plus headphones needed

Other Support:Captains will be available during a volunteer’s shift. Extensive helpful documents available online.
